Jammu Industries Apex association, BBIA shows strong resentment over imposition of annual maintenance cost by J&K SIDCO

29-04-2022:  An urgent meeting of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) was held under the Presidentship of Sh. Lalit Mahajan in the presence of Sh. Tarun Singla, Sr. Vice President, Sh. Ajay Langer Vice President, Sh. Viraaj Malhotra General Secretary, Sh. Rajesh Jain Secretary and Sh. Vivek Singhal Treasurer BBIA in which the matter related to Annual Maintenance Cost Imposed by J&K SIDCO vide Order No- SIDCO/ROJ/22/02 dated 13-04-2022 to Existing Units discussed in detail.

The Members present in the meeting raised serious concerns in respect of the Annual Maintenance Cost imposed by J&KSIDCO @ Rs.3000=00 p/annum for MSME Sector and Rs.5000=00 p/annum per Unit for rest of Category as approved by the Board of Director Meeting held on 29-03-2022 which we termed as Unjustified as SIDCO already collected Lease Rent on annual basis as per the Lease Deed but failed to maintain the Industrial Estate for which Lacs of Rupees spending per annum from the Rental charges collected as Lease Rent on annual basis and it is the responsibility of the J&KSIDCO to provide the adequate workforce to maintain the Industrial Estates.

Further, we wish to draw the kind attention of Hon’ble Lt. Governor Sh. Manoj Sinha previously the Chairman of Federation of Industries Jammu/Kashmir always been nominated as a Board member of the J&K SIDCO/SICOP Board to highlight the issues related to the Industrial Estates but since long the nomination of Chairman Federation of Industries Jammu/ Kashmir has been withdrawn from the Board of Directors of J & K SIDCO/ SICOP for the reason best known to the Department resulting no representation of Stake Holders in the Corporation Board.

We request Hon’ble Lt. Governor Sh. Manoj Sinha and Sh. Vivek Bhardwaj, Principal Secretary Industries & Commerce Department for their kind intervention for the immediate withdrawal of Order No. SIDCO/ROJ/22/02 dated 13-04-2022 which will provide relief to the existing units working in JKUT in spite of all the Odds and issue necessary directions to the Managing Director J&K SIDCO/SICOP for the nomination of Chairman Federation of Industries Jammu/Kashmir in the Board of the Corporation for proper representation of Industrial Sector.
