UDHAMPUR, June 3: Brig R.S Langeh, President of Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust today visited the ancient Sudhmahadev and Mantalai Temples in order to review the arrangements being made for the Mela.
Pertinent to mention here that the three-day Mela is an annual festival that takes place at these ancient temples and are attended by thousands of devotees from across the region.
During his visit, the President of the Trust inspected the various facilities that are being put in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the Mela. He also met with local community leaders to discuss their views and suggestions regarding the arrangements for the festival.
He expressed satisfaction with the progress being made and urged all concerned to continue working towards ensuring that the Mela is a success. He emphasised the importance of preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the region, and ensuring that these ancient temples are maintained and protected for future generations.
He said that the Trust is working closely with local authorities and community groups to ensure that all necessary arrangements are in place, and that the festival is conducted in a safe and secure environment.
