Advent International to Invest ₹3,150 Crore in Yatharth Hospital

The private equity investment will support the hospital group’s expansion plans and increase its capacity across northern India.

India, Sep 18 : Advent International has agreed to invest ₹3,150 crore in Yatharth Hospital & Trauma Care Services for a 24.9% stake, marking a major investment in India’s hospital sector.

The U.S. based private equity firm announced the transaction on September 17, with the investment valuing the healthcare company as part of a broader expansion of private capital in India’s medical infrastructure.

Yatharth Hospital currently operates nine multispecialty hospitals, primarily across northern India, with around 2,800 operational beds. The hospital group has plans to increase its capacity to approximately 3,250 beds as it expands its healthcare network.

The company’s shares rose to a record high following news of the transaction. Despite Advent’s investment, the founding Tyagi family is expected to remain the largest shareholder in the hospital operator.

The deal comes amid growing interest from global investors in India’s healthcare industry. Private equity firms have increasingly targeted hospital networks and specialised healthcare providers as demand for organised medical services continues to expand.

Advent said its investment would support Yatharth Hospital’s growth and strengthen its ability to expand healthcare services. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory and other closing conditions.
