JAMMU, 11-02-2023 : After being closed for three days, the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway saw a partial restoration of vehicular traffic on Saturday, according to officials.
According to a government official, landslides and shooting stones brought on by rain near Mehar, Panthyal, Magarkot, and Cafeteria Morh have obstructed the route since Thursday night.
He claimed that when the clearing operation was finished, some highway traffic had been allowed to resume.
According to the official, about 1000 Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) have been stranded at various sites for the past three days as a result of the highway being blocked.
If the weather is fine, “the movement of vehicles would remain normal,” he added.
