Akanksha Badyal Earns Ph.D. from SMVDU for Work on Celebrating Femininity in Indian Literature

SMVDU Congratulates Akanksha Badyal for Earning Ph.D. in English with Research on Feminism

Jammu, 13-11-2024: Ms. Akanksha Badyal, daughter of Mr. Sham Kumar and Mrs. Shashi Prabha, and wife of Mr. Akshay Mahajan, has been officially declared qualified for the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in English by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, Jammu and Kashmir. She successfully completed her research on the topic “Celebrating Femininity in Indian Post-Feminist Writings: Re-reading Contemporary Romance,” under the esteemed supervision of Dr. Amitabh Vikram Dwivedi, Associate Professor in the School of Languages and Literature at SMVDU.

Ms. Badyal’s academic journey is marked by significant achievements, including the publication of several papers in SCOPUS-indexed journals. She has also presented her research at numerous international conferences, further solidifying her position as a scholar in her field. Throughout her doctoral studies, Ms. Badyal has expressed immense gratitude to her parents, spouse, and supervisor for their unwavering support and guidance, which played a vital role in her successful research journey.

She has also acknowledged the School of Languages and Literature at SMVDU for providing essential resources and a supportive environment that facilitated her academic progress.
