They were addressed by Siman Suri and others. All the speakers denounced and rejected this policy declaring it as arbitrary, inhuman and unacceptable. They said it is quite hurting, insulting and humiliating the thankless UT JK Administration instead of honouring us and being thankful to Anganwadi Workers and Helpers for our dedication, selfless service and valuable contribution for the success of various National Programmes and Centrally sponsored Schemes, which earned international recognition, acknowledgement and repute for the State/UT JK and the Nation, Working in very hostile environment of the peak of militancy and that too on a very meagre honorarium we accomplished various feats, but respective of JK UT Administration dough Administrative Council approval to the proposal of comprehensive Human Resource Policy to govern the engagement, lease promotion and other important aspects of the policy for teate Anganwadi Workers (AWW) mid Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs) working in the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) or UT .It decided to dispose of it and disengage us in an insensitive and humiliating manner, without bothering for our future, well being and sustenance.

They called on Lieutenant General Manoj Sinha to relook into this matter at suns that some shrewd bureaucrats with nefarious designs are hell bent to create trouble and derail the state from its developmental path by putting forward such ill-conceived policies.

Thousands of us have attained 60 years of age, we are old and in this last leg of life instead of providing us much needed social moral and economic protection, support and assistance and security to us we are being ditched and disposed off like this.

They said that like every other citizen of India and as a force that has performed well they deserved a better deal, a respectful, graceful, decent disengagement and a dignified respectful living, so that we do not become a hordes of our families.

They put forward many demands and wanted them to be incorporated in the above mentioned Administrative Council Policy Document or acceded to as one time rehabilitation and settle package for AWWs and AWH of JK at the earliest and prior to implementation of this policy .
