New Delhi, Mar 19: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday questioned industrialist Anil Ambani in connection with a case linked to Reliance Communications Ltd. (RCOM), following a complaint filed by the State Bank of India, officials said.
Ambani appeared at the agency’s headquarters in the national capital as part of the ongoing probe into alleged financial irregularities involving loan funds extended to the company. Investigators are examining claims of fund diversion and misappropriation in the utilisation of bank loans.
In a statement, Ambani’s spokesperson confirmed that he is scheduled to appear before the CBI on March 19 and 20, 2026, in connection with the FIR registered in the case. The spokesperson added that the appearance reflects Ambani’s commitment to fully cooperate with investigating agencies.
The inquiry forms part of a broader investigation into financial dealings related to RCOM, with authorities continuing to scrutinise the allegations.
