Mumbai, Dec 06 : Television actor Arjun Bijlani is grieving the loss of his father-in-law, Rakesh Chandra Swami, who passed away on January 1, 2026. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Arjun paid tribute to his late father-in-law and vowed to take care of his wife Neha and their son, Ayaan.
“Om Shanti Papa!! Your words of wisdom and advice will always stay with us. I will take full care of Neha and Ayaan, don’t worry. Love you always!! Sri Rakesh Chandra Swami !! 1956 – 2026 #omshanti,” Arjun wrote, sharing throwback pictures with cherished memories.
Star-Studded Farewell
The prayer meet drew several television celebrities, including Ravie Dubey, Ankita Lokhande, Kanika Mann, Mouni Roy, and Nia Sharma, who came to offer condolences. Arjun was seen comforting young Ayaan throughout the proceedings.
Sudden Loss Amid New Year Celebrations
The family had been in Dubai to celebrate the New Year when Rakesh Chandra Swami’s health deteriorated. They returned to India only to face the heartbreaking reality of his passing. The 73-year-old succumbed after a brief but critical ICU stay. He is survived by his daughter Neha and son Nishank.
