Azad Vows to Ensure Peace, Progress, and Welfare for All in Chenab Valley

20-05-2023 : Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad, the leader of the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), embarked on a three-day tour of the Doda district to address various developmental issues and engage with delegations and party workers.

Accompanied by DPAP leader Saddam Nabi Azad, Vice Chairman G.M. Saroori, General Secretary Abdul Majeed Wani, Working Committee Member Aslam Goni, PR Manhas Zonal President, Naresh Gupta Provincial Vice President, Asif Gattu Distt President, Javed Azad, and others, Azad held extensive interactions with party workers.

Azad emphasized the responsibility of his party leadership to reach out to the people directly, ensuring that individuals do not have to undergo unnecessary hardships to have their grievances addressed.

“I have instructed my party leadership to personally connect with every individual in our union territory and attentively listen to their concerns. Unlike the practices of the Congress party, where workers were compelled to go through a series of hurdles to secure appointments with their relevant leaders for issue resolution,” he stated.

He emphasized that his party’s foremost priority is to ensure peaceful living conditions and economic progress for the people.

During his visit to Doda, Azad pledged to attentively listen to everyone, guaranteeing that no one would be overlooked during this visit.

“Whatever problems you are facing, I will personally raise them with the appropriate authorities and ensure that all legitimate issues are resolved,” he assured.

Azad highlighted the prevalence of politics that thrives on exploiting regional and religious issues, ultimately dividing people for electoral gain. In contrast, the DPAP encourages politics focused on real issues and strives to strengthen the bond among people, irrespective of their faith or region.

Respecting secular values, Azad has strictly directed his party members not to engage in discussions that might hurt the sentiments of the people.

He acknowledged the struggles and hardships faced by the SC and ST communities, pledging to ensure their substantial welfare if elected to power.

“My politics is based on addressing real developmental issues, which is why our party is receiving overwhelming support, unlike parties that promote communalism and division among people,” he asserted.

Azad declared that the Chenab Valley region is his primary focus, promising to foster its development and improve connectivity with the rest of the country.

“In my previous tenure as Chief Minister, I constructed roads, colleges, and hospitals. I will continue to fulfill any remaining tasks in the coming tenure if we are elected to power,” he concluded.
