New Delhi, June 30: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated preparations for the 2027 Board Examinations, asking affiliated schools to begin academic planning well in advance to ensure smooth conduct of the upcoming session.
In its latest communication to schools, the Board emphasized the importance of completing the prescribed syllabus within the academic calendar while maintaining regular classroom teaching, internal assessments and practical sessions. Schools have also been encouraged to identify students requiring additional academic support and provide remedial classes wherever necessary.
CBSE advised school authorities to maintain accurate academic records, ensure timely conduct of practical examinations and strengthen continuous evaluation throughout the year. The Board stressed that systematic planning would help reduce examination related stress and improve learning outcomes.
Principals have been asked to organize orientation programmes for teachers regarding curriculum implementation and the latest assessment practices. Schools are also expected to promote experiential learning, competency based education and effective use of digital learning resources in line with the National Education Policy (NEP).
Education experts believe that early planning allows schools to balance academic instruction with extracurricular activities while giving students sufficient time for revision before the board examinations. Parents have also been advised to support regular study schedules instead of relying solely on last minute preparation.
The Board is expected to release the detailed examination schedule, sample papers and subject wise guidelines closer to the examination cycle. Meanwhile, schools across the country have begun implementing their annual academic plans to ensure students are well-prepared for the 2027 board examinations.
