Jammu, 26-01-2024 : Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), Jammu celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great fervour here today.
An impressive programme was organized at the Chamber House which commenced with the hoisting of National Flag by Sh. Arun Gupta, President Chamber of Commerce and Industry Jammu in presence of other office bearers and senior members of the CCI.
On the occasion, Sh. Arun Gupta unfurled the National Flag after which the whole premises reverberated with the singing of National Anthem amid salutations to the National Tricolour and the martyrs who laid down their lives while protecting the territorial integrity of the nation on the borders and the hinterland.
In his address, Sh. Arun Gupta threw light on the martyrdom of freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the cause of the nation and its people as a result of which the people of the World’s largest Democracy are enjoying full freedom and self esteem having earned honour and dignity at the global level. He also said that it is a day to remember those who had sacrificed their lives to get the nation free from British rule.
Sh. Arun Gupta said that Republic Day is the most auspicious day for the whole nation and its people and being the most vibrant democracy of the world, it deserves to be celebrated like a festival with full enthusiasm and gaiety amid participation of people from diverse cultures as ‘Unity in Diversity’ is the hallmark of the Indian democracy.
The Chamber President assured that CCI members will leave no stone unturned in taking J&K on the glorious path of development and prosperity.
