Mumbai, Apr 06 : In a significant administrative reform, the Centre has made it compulsory for all government employees to complete role-specific training programs every year. The initiative, announced in the Rajya Sabha, aims to modernise the workforce and improve efficiency.
Minister of State Jitendra Singh stated that the courses will be delivered through a digital learning platform and linked to employees’ annual performance reviews. The policy is part of a broader push to promote continuous skill development and align workforce capabilities with evolving governance needs.
Officials believe the move will foster accountability, enhance service delivery, and create a more adaptive administrative structure.
