Chirag Paswan Says NDA’s Victory Will Make Diwali More Special on November 14

LJP (Ram Vilas) chief dismisses talk of rift in NDA, says alliance will ‘celebrate Diwali’ with poll win on November 14

Patna, Oct 18: As the Bihar Assembly elections approach, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan asserted that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is fully united and coordinated under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership. Dismissing speculation about internal discord, Paswan predicted a “historic victory” for the NDA when results are declared on November 14  coinciding with Diwali.

“As much confusion as was being spread about the NDA, I had repeatedly said that all matters would be decided smoothly  whether it is about seat selection or finalising candidates,” Paswan told ANI. “The Mahagathbandhan is a confused alliance. I say with confidence that the NDA is moving towards a historic victory.”

Paswan reaffirmed that his party stands firmly behind Nitish Kumar and the NDA’s collective strategy.

“We are contesting the elections under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. I have not had even one percent of dispute with any other constituent party. We will truly celebrate Diwali on November 14,” he said.

The Bihar Assembly elections 2025 will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14.

The NDA recently finalised its seat-sharing arrangement, under which the BJP and Janata Dal (United) will contest 101 seats each, while Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) have been allotted six seats each. Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas) will contest 29 seats.
