Cong aligned towards foreign companies, averse to Indians: Kavinder

Says nobody happy with the way Indian businessmen were making their presence felt at a global level

JAMMU,06-03-2023 : Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Monday slammed Congress party over its stand against Adani Group claiming that foreign companies fascinate the oldest party of the country more than anybody else.

In a statement issued to media persons, the BJP stalwart said that nobody was happy with the way Indian businessmen were making their presence felt at a global level.
He said that party’s euphoria over Adani’s rout in the share market is a bit perplexing because being the owner of Indian companies and a successful businessman, his contribution towards the economy of India was significant and any loss to his company should have been taken as very seriously and people and political parties should come in support rather than staging protests because till date nothing has been proved against Gautam Adani.

The senior BJP leader said that the Congress often went out of the way to support foreign companies in the past whether the same were Cola giants or detergent companies or car makers but when it comes to the businessmen of the country like Ambanis, Adanis or Baba Ramdev, the Congress prefers to look at things with a different lens tagging all these as unprincipled and dishonest.

Kavinder asserted that the country is watching every bit of the situation and sooner than later will teach a lesson to the party which is more concerned about foreigner rather than Indian brethren because it outrightly refused to stand by Adani and is holding countrywide protests to further dent the interests of his companies, which is unacceptable and showcases the real intent of the Congress party having deep connection with foreign lands and companies.
