Congress Revamps Leadership: Neeraj Kundan Appointed Secretary, Divya Maderna and Manoj Yadav Join Team

Neeraj Kundan, Former NSUI Chief, Elevated to AICC Secretary by Mallikarjun Kharge

JAMMU, Aug 30: Neeraj Kundan, a prominent youth Congress leader from Jammu and former National President of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), has been appointed as Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC). This appointment was confirmed by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, with the official order issued by AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal. Kundan has been designated as the AICC Secretary responsible for organizational matters, joining Netta D’Souza from Gujarat and Naveen Sharma from Delhi, who have also been appointed as Co-Incharge (Organisation) for the party.

Kundan, originally from Malley Kothe in Arnia (Bishnah), near the Indo-Pak border, began his political career as the College President of NSUI and eventually rose to become its National President. His appointment as AICC Secretary is a recognition of his dedication and capabilities within the party. Expressing his gratitude, Kundan thanked AICC President Kharge, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, and AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal for this significant opportunity.

In addition to Kundan’s appointment, the Congress has also announced several other key changes. Divya Maderna, a former MLA from Jodhpur, Rajasthan, has been appointed as AICC Secretary and given the role of Co-Incharge for Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) and Ladakh. Manoj Yadav, from Delhi, has been re-inducted as Secretary, Co-Incharge for J&K and Ladakh.

Congress leader Shahnawaz Choudhary from Surankote in Poonch has been assigned as AICC Secretary and Co-Incharge of Odisha State. Presently, AICC General Secretary and former Union Minister Bharatsinh Solanki oversees the party’s operations in J&K and Ladakh.

These appointments reflect the Congress party’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its organizational structure and expand its reach across various states and Union Territories.
