Hyderabad Based Jawan Collapses Inside Zainapora CRPF Facility

SRINAGAR, May 6: A CRPF personnel was found dead inside a camp in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the incident.
According to officials, Head Constable Surinder Singh, a resident of Hyderabad, suddenly fell unconscious late Tuesday night at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) camp located in Zainapora area of Shopian.
Fellow personnel immediately rushed Singh to the nearby Zainapora hospital for medical treatment. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival, officials said.
Police officials have taken cognizance of the matter and initiated legal proceedings to determine the exact cause behind the death. Initial reports did not indicate any signs of foul play, though authorities said all aspects are being examined.
The incident has sparked concern within the security establishment as officials await medical and forensic reports for further clarity.
