DC Kishtwar reviews performance of Banks, line departments at DLRC meeting

KISHTWAR, JUNE 14:  Deputy Commissioner, Kishtwar today reviewed the performance of banks and line departments for the quarter ending March 2021 here at the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) meeting.

 Additional District Development Commissioner Sham Lal; General Manager, District Industries Centre, Khaliq Hussain Malik; Joint Director Planning, Mohammad Iqbal; Assistant Commissioner (R), Akhter Hussain Qazi; Assistant Commissioner Development, Kishore Singh Katoch; LDM Kishtwar Nasir Bhat; Assistant Commissioner Labour,  Kishtwar Anoop Kumar; besides the representatives from various Banks, Cluster Head J&K Bank and concerned district officers attended the meeting.

At the outset, a threadbare discussion was held on achievements in priority and Non-priority sectors vis a vis Annual Credit Plan (ACP) and other individual beneficiary Schemes.

 The concerned Departments and bankers shared their views on account of the non-achievement of the desired targets in respect of some priority sector segments.

The DC asked heads of the banks to take the required steps to increase the CD ratio in the district. He asked the sponsoring agencies to support maximum cases for increasing the SME credit in the district besides sponsoring the highest cases of KCC to all the banks.

He impressed upon the banks to create awareness among the common masses about different social security schemes and enroll maximum beneficiaries under such schemes.

The DC also asked them to ramp up the financial literacy among the masses and unemployed youth in all parts of the district in the larger interest of the deserving segments of the society.
