RAJOURI, MARCH 12: District Level Task Force (DLTFC) meeting was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal to discuss the fixation of Scales of Finance for the year 2022-23 for agricultural, horticulture and allied activities in the district.
Officers who attended the meeting included CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; CAO, Som Singh; CHO, Madan Lal; LDM, Jyoti Prakash; AD Fisheries, Manish and other concerned officers.
Detailed discussion was held concerning criteria to be adopted for the fixation of scales of finance for agricultural and allied activities in the district. The meeting was informed that earlier the fixation of the scale of Finance has been carried out at the Province level but for the past two to three years this is being prepared at the District level.
After a threadbare discussion, the committee finalised the scale of finance for different items including buffalo, desi cow, cross breed of cow, sheep, goat, carp fish, trout fish, apple, walnuts, citrus and others.
Addressing the officers in the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner said that the fixation of finance for the agricultural allied activities shall help the farmers of the district to take advantage of various types of free credit in a hassle-free manner.
He also said that the fixation of finance shall also create employment opportunities in the district through agricultural entrepreneur activities. He stressed the need to involve all stakeholders in arriving at proper scales of finance and the necessity of accurate field data.
The DC also urged upon them for close coordination so that credit flow to the farmers is adequate and timely.
