REASI, AUGUST 31: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh today appealed to the people to follow Covid safety guidelines and seek permission and guidance from the district administration before holding social functions.
“The general public should take prior permission for holding social functions as the administration would give them necessary instructions and proper guidance regarding covid protocol,” he said while addressing a press conference on Covid’s situation in the district along with SSP Shalindra Singh. He appealed to the general public to follow Covid-19 Appropriate Behavior (CAB) and other SoPs, guidelines besides taking vaccines to prevent a resurgence of Covid-19 cases.
The DC, while briefing the media about the present Covid situation in the District, also gave details about the containment and mitigation measures taken by the district administration.
The DC revealed that presently there are 180 active positive cases including 26 locals and 154 travelers in the district, with a slight increase in new cases have been reported.
He said that about 80 percent of vaccination has been completed in the district and appealed to left out persons to come forward for vaccination as early as possible. He said that the administration has also started a door-to-door campaign for the same.
The DC also appreciated the people of the Reasi district for supporting the administration and hoped that they will continue to do so.
