UDHAMPUR, AUGUST-25:- Director Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Jammu, Nasim Javed Choudhary conducted a Surprise inspection of various Flour Mills in Udhampur District to check the quality of Atta being supplied by these Mills.
Inspecting the Shalimar Flour Mill, the Director found that Atta looked sub-standard in quality. The packaging of many Bags was also found to be underweight. The Mill was also found lacking in basic equipment used to check the Quality & Moisture Content of wheat & Atta.
Taking cognizance of the matter and in view of the complaints received from various quarters, directions were issued not to supply any wheat from the Shalimar Mill for grinding till further orders.
During the visit, the Director was accompanied by Deputy Directors (F&R) Javed Ahmed Rather.
