Jammu: Dr. Ashwani Bassan, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Rathana, Block R.S.Pura, Animal Husbandry Department Jammu was felicitated by Dr. M C Sharma, Ex-Director, IVRI, Barielly Uttar Pardesh in presence of Dr. J P Sharma Vice-chancellor SKUAST-Jammu, Dr. S K Gupta, Director Extension, SKUAST-J, Sh KK Sharma, Director, Agriculture, Sh Ram Sevak, Director, Horticulture, Dr. Rakesh Nanda, Director Education, SKUAST-J, Dr. Ashok Kumar, ADG (Animal Science), ICAR, Sh. Suraj Bhardwaj National Incharge Agri vision and convenior Livestock show Dr. Hans Raj Bhardwaj in Five Days SKUAST-Jammu Krishi Mela ( 7th to 11th March) 2022, for bringing a good number of superior animals of different categories from his jurisdiction and on behalf of Animal Husbandry Department Jammu.
Progressive dairy farmers who came with Dr. Ashwani Bassan with their animals were also felicitated and awarded appreciation certificates and total prize money of Rs. 30,000. First prize money of Rs. 5000 each with appreciation certificate was awarded to Mr.Joginder Singh R/o Gandli Rathana and Mr.Ranjeet Singh R/o Rathana kothey for their best HF cow and She Murrow Buffalo. Second and third Prize holders shared Rs. 3000 each.
Farmers expressed their gratitude to SKUAST-J administration, Department of Animal Husbandry Jammu, and Dr Ashwani Bassan for their support and motivation and assured that they will bring more superior and high-bred animals in the future Livestock shows.
