Dr Kotwal reviews progress on updation, digitization of Jamabandies in Jammu district

 

JAMMU, OCTOBER 27- Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Chief Executive Officer, Jammu and Kashmir Land Record Management Agency (JaKLaRMA)  Dr. Pawan Kotwal, today chaired a meeting to discuss and review progress on updation and digitization of Jamabandies in Jammu district for providing citizen-centric services under Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP).

The FC informed the participants about the progress made under this ambitious programme so far like completion of scanning of 655.88 lakh revenue documents (97%), completion of scanning of 52000 Revenue Maps (98%), completion of the digitization of 1796 Revenue Maps of District Jammu and District Srinagar (99%) and establishment of 3895 Ground Control Points for Survey/re-survey. Besides, the State Data Center of Revenue Department is being set up by the IT Department for hosting CIS and shall be completed by December 15, 2020, he further apprised.

The FCR had a detailed review of progress on updation/digitization of Jamabandies of District Jammu and impressed upon the Revenue officers to accord the highest priority for its completion by 30th of November 2020.

Pertinently, the updation of Jamabandies is urgently required for Survey/Re-survey to be taken up in the UT. The process of allotment of contract for Digitization of Jamabandies of all the districts of the UT with usage of CORS network based technology is at the final stage.

Regional Director survey and land records Jammu, Mushtaq Ahmed Chowdhary, Additional Commissioner Central Jammu, Rishpal Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu Satish Kumar Sharma and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
