Dr Pawan Kotwal Reviews Performance of Revenue Department, Udhampur and Appreciates Progress of Jamabandi writing

 UDHAMPUR, OCTOBER-20: Principal Secretary to Government Revenue Department, Dr Pawan Kotwal today chaired a meeting of the officers and officials of Revenue departments to review the progress achieved under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme and Jamabandi writing in the district.

Detailed discussion was held on various issues regarding the progress of writing of Jamabandies, Land acquisition cases, the progress of attestation of pending mutations, eviction of encroachments on state land,  Progress of inspection of revenue records, Gurdwara Prabandh Committee Election, Status of the electoral roll, Updation of the electoral roll, Maintenance of various registers at Patwari level, issuance of Domicile certificates were reviewed in detail.

 Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla gave a brief presentation about various sectors.

Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Viqar Giri gave a PowerPoint presentation and highlighted the profile of District Udhampur. He apprised that Jamabandies of 369 out of 396 villages have been completed and the rest 27 are under process and at different stages. The  ACR also gave tehsil wise detail of Jamabandies. He further informed that the Revenue department has transferred 8471 Kanal state land to the industrial estate, expunged illegal entries of  44862 Kanal Kahcharai, state land and water bodies land. He also raised issue of non-availability of Government vehicles with Tehsildar, Non-availability of govt building for patwar khanas and residential accommodation.

He also detailed the progress of documents scanned, the status of mutations, land transferred for various projects. ACR also detailed the progress of revenue documents scanned. Dr Kotwal appreciated the efforts of the revenue department for the progress of Jamabandies and updation of Revenue records in record time. Dr Kotwal said that the citizen will get computerized land documents and with this Jamabandies will be updated automatically.Dr. Kotwal asked the concerned to follow the given timeline for Jamabandies writing. He asked the Revenue officers to sensitize the public regarding the Updation of Jamabandies. He also directed the field functionaries of the Revenue Department to remain present in their areas and the public should not suffer due to non availability of field functionaries. He emphasized to expedite the Updation process of Jamabandies as per the targets.  Dr. Kotwal also inspected the Jamabandies of few villages.

Dr Kotwal appreciated the team of Revenue department led by Dr. Piyush Singla for timely updation of record and progress of other Revenue related works. He also felicitated patwari for their good work. Dr Kotwal also released a documentary on updation of Revenue records.
