FICCI J&K MSME Committee Head Lalit Mahajan Seeks Restoration of Turnover Incentive for Struggling Units

Extend Turnover Incentive upto 31-3-2037 for INTRA-STATE Sale by MSME Units of Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir-FICCI(J &K}

Jammu, 17-07-2026: Sh. Lalit Mahajan, Head MSME committee, FICCI J & K, draw the kind attention of Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Sh. Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Sh.Omar Abdullah and Hon’ble Dy. Chief Minister Sh. Surinder Kumar Choudhary, also holding the Charge of Industries & Commerce Minister towards the plight of MSME Sector of J & K suffering very badly due to withdrawal of Turnover Incentive by Industries Department while finalizing the proposed amendments in the Industrial Policy2021-30

It is worthwhile to mention here that Turnover Incentive Notification was valid upto 31-3- 2026 for which nos. of Representations has been given to extend the same but till date no proposal has been made in the proposed amendments in the State Industrial Policy 2021-30, resulting great resentment in the MSME Units of Jammu & Kashmir depending upon the INTRASTATE Sale (Within the State of Jammu & Kashmir)

It is pertinent to mention here that 90 to 95% of Local MSME Units providing Employment to lakhs of Local People, depends upon the Sale of their Finished Products within the State of Jammu & Kashmir due to Locational disadvantages, Limited Market Access, Additional Cost of Raw Materials, Stiff Competition from Out Side Suppliers and it is the need of the hour to support the Local MSME Units with the grant of Turnover Incentive for INTRA- STATE sale Upto 31-3-2037

We request Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Sh. Manoj Sinha, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Sh. Omar Abdullah and Hon’ble Dy. Chief Minister Sh. Surinder Kumar Choudhary,also holding the charge of Industries & Commerce Minister, for their kind intervention for the grant of Turnover Incentive for the MSME Units of Jammu & Kashmir for the sale of Goods within the State of Jammu & Kashmir (INTRA-STATE) for five years from 01-04-2026 to 31-3- 2037 as Hand Holding Support for their survival
