11-11-2021 : GDC Dudu BasantGarh in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kenda (NYK) Udhampur organizes declamation contest on the topic Patriotism and Nation building under ‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahatsov’. The competition was held under the able guidance and supervision of Principal of the College Dr. Bhavnaish Chand. Speaking on the occasion, Principal of the College said that in the changing environment, the youth is passionate to do something for their motherland.
We should mobilize our youth for developing their interest in patriotism and engage them in meaningful National Building activities. He stated that this contest will provide opportunity to the students to exhibit their presentation skills and art of speaking in public and create the desired environment among the entire youth community.
All the Speakers spoke at length on topic and shared their views on the topic Patriotism and Nation Building. Earlier, programme started with the welcome address by Dr. P.P. Singh. In his introductory remarks he said that this contest will enthuse the spirit of patriotism and nation building among the students and appreciated NYK Udhampur for collaborating with the College. He stated that patriotism is the love and pride for the citizens of the nation to an extent of sacrificing even life for its betterment. A great example of patriotism was shown by our freedom fighters during their struggle for independence.
The vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Pradeep Kumar. He motivated the students for participating in such types of programs organized by the college.The first position was bagged by Varinder Singh of Sem. Vth, while second position was clinched by Shabnam Banoo of Sem-Vth and third position was secured by Santosh kumari of Sem-IIIrd . All the three winning participants were selected for next round of speech competition to be held at Udhampur for District level competition.
