Haryana, Aug 05 : Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini flagged off the Kalash Vandan Yatra dedicated to Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj, extending the spiritual procession to all 27 organisational districts across the state. The initiative is part of the celebrations commemorating the 650th birth anniversary of the revered saint and seeks to inspire citizens with his timeless message of equality, harmony, and social justice.
Addressing the gathering, Saini said the yatra would serve as a platform to strengthen social unity and reinforce the values of brotherhood among people from all sections of society. He emphasised that the campaign reflects the state government’s commitment to preserving and promoting the teachings of Sant Guru Ravidas.
The Chief Minister noted that the procession originated from Shri Guru Ravidas Janam Sthan at Seer Govardhanpur in Kashi and has been drawing widespread participation for its message of inclusiveness and mutual respect. Haryana’s participation, he said, will ensure these ideals reach every organisational district through active public involvement.
Saini added that the yatra will connect communities across the state while encouraging citizens to embrace compassion, equality, and collective progress. He observed that the teachings of Sant Guru Ravidas remain highly relevant in today’s society, offering guidance for building a nation rooted in justice, dignity, and social cohesion.
Reaffirming the government’s support for programmes commemorating the saint’s 650th birth anniversary, the Chief Minister said the celebrations would further reinforce the principles of unity and peaceful coexistence, inspiring future generations to uphold the values championed by Sant Guru Ravidas.
