JAMMU : “BJP led Union Government deserves applauses from the youth of J&K for gifting them third highest unemployment rate among the other states and UTs of India” said Yashpal Kundal, Former Minister & Senior Leader AAP party .
He lambasted the BJP led Union Government for their failure for providing job opportunities to the educated unemployed youth of J&K. Kundal said that as per the latest report of Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), the newly created Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has registered the Third highest unemployment rate of 23.9 percent which is worst among all states and UTs in India. The unemployment rate of India is increasing day by day and J&K has a much higher unemployment rate than the national average. He said that the unemployment rate in J&K has jumped from over 17 percent in June 2022 to 23.9 percent in November and J&K is the Third region in India which has over 20 percent of unemployment rate which clearly shows that Union Government is misleading the public at large by making false statement of developing and giving job opportunities to downgraded state of J&K.
Kundal added that unrest among the youth of J&K is being increasing day by day as number of youth are coming towards street with their grievances by holding protests against the central government and UT Administration and now it is a high time for all the youth of J&K to come forward unitedly to knock the deaf ears of the government and administration to redress their grievances and provide employment opportunities to the youth of J&K. He also appealed to the youth of J&K to come under the AAP banner to raise all their demands in one voice.
Kundal demanded formulation of appropriate youth policy for the downgraded state of Jammu and Kashmir considering both the regions equally and also appealed to the Union Government to redress the grievances of the graduate, post graduates, professional, Ph.D degree holders for their genuine demands.
