India, July 30 : India continued its impressive campaign at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with another memorable day of performances, highlighted by Dilip Mahadu Gavit’s Games record gold medal and Murali Sreeshankar’s silver in the men’s long jump.
Para athlete Gavit produced a remarkable performance to finish on top of the podium while setting a new Commonwealth Games record, further strengthening India’s reputation in para athletics. His achievement added another gold to India’s growing medal tally and showcased the country’s depth across multiple sporting disciplines.
Murali Sreeshankar also maintained his consistency on the international stage by securing silver in the men’s long jump. The medal marked his second consecutive Commonwealth Games silver, underlining his status as one of India’s most reliable field athletes.
