New Delhi: India has launched a fresh economic outreach programme in Europe as Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal leads a high-level business delegation to Spain, Belgium and Finland from July 13 to July 17.
The visit aims to deepen trade and investment cooperation between India and European economies while promoting collaboration in technology, innovation, manufacturing and sustainable development.
The delegation includes representatives from key sectors such as advanced manufacturing, clean energy, digital technology, healthcare, food processing, gems and jewellery and design industries.
Focus on India-EU Economic Cooperation
During the visit, discussions are expected to focus on expanding bilateral trade opportunities and strengthening economic ties with European partners.
The government is also looking to create stronger business connections amid ongoing efforts to enhance India’s position in global supply chains.
Officials said the engagement will support investment flows, encourage technology partnerships and provide Indian companies with greater opportunities in European markets.
Businesses Seek Greater Global Integration
Indian companies have increasingly been exploring international partnerships in sectors such as renewable energy, digital services, manufacturing and infrastructure.
The European outreach comes at a time when businesses worldwide are restructuring supply chains and seeking reliable investment destinations.
Industry experts believe stronger cooperation with European countries can help Indian companies expand their global presence while attracting foreign investment into domestic industries.
The government’s latest initiative highlights India’s continued focus on strengthening economic partnerships and building a more connected global business ecosystem.
