Jammu & Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah Raises Alarm on Travel Disruptions, Urges JKAS Prelims Delay

Amid airline chaos and pending age-relaxation approvals, J&K CM appeals for fair opportunity for aspirants

JAMMU, Dec 6: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has voiced concern over severe travel disruptions and administrative delays affecting thousands of aspirants preparing for the Jammu & Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) prelims.

In a statement shared on X, the CM highlighted that ongoing airline disruptions have left candidates stranded, while critical approvals from Lok Bhavan such as age-relaxation requests granted in past years—remain pending. These uncertainties, he said, are causing unprecedented stress for aspirants on the eve of one of the most important examinations of their careers.

Omar Abdullah urged the Jammu & Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) to take the situation into account and consider postponing the JKAS Prelims to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for all candidates.
