Jammu, 07-10-2024: In a significant breakthrough, the Jammu and Kashmir Police announced on Monday that they have solved two separate murder cases with the arrest of all three accused individuals involved.
The first case involved the brutal killing of Neha, a migrant laborer from Bihar. Her blood-stained body was found in a paddy field in Badyal Brahmana, R S Pura, last Friday. Authorities arrested her husband, Parkash Paswan, also known as Santosh, from the Khanauri area of Punjab within 48 hours of the crime.
According to a police spokesperson, Paswan confessed during interrogation that he murdered his wife on the night of October 3-4 after becoming suspicious about her character. The couple, who had been married for three months, had relocated to Badyal Brahmana from Sonipat. Police revealed that Paswan had an argument with his wife, during which he struck her on the head with a brick and subsequently strangled her with a scarf before fleeing the scene.
The second case involved the murder of Sandeep Singh, a resident of the Pacca Danga area in Jammu, who had been reported missing by his family on September 29. After conducting an investigation, police uncovered that Sandeep had been killed by two acquaintances, Pardeep Singh and Rajinder Singh, who owed him money.
According to authorities, Pardeep Singh, who had borrowed Rs 1.30 lakh from Sandeep and lost the amount in an online game, lured the victim to Reasi on the pretext of repaying the debt. When Sandeep arrived at the location, Pardeep pushed him into the Chenab River at Talwara. Sandeep’s body was later recovered on October 4 following Pardeep’s confession.
Further investigation led to the arrest of Rajinder Singh, who also had financial dealings with Sandeep. Both suspects are now in custody, and the police continue to investigate these cases.
