JAMMU, JANUARY 30: On Monday morning, the Jammu-Srinagar national highway was closed to vehicular traffic due to shooting stones and mudslides between Chanderkot and Banihal.
In various locations between Chanderkot and Banihal, the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was stopped, according to the Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police.
The principal transportation link that connects Kashmir with the rest of the nation and provides the Kashmir valley with its only means of survival is the highway.
