The Congress leader lambasted Modi for allegedly favoring a select group of capitalists while ignoring the plight of farmers burdened with loans. He criticized the government’s handling of issues such as unemployment, demonetization, and the implementation of GST, which he claimed disproportionately affected small and middle-class businesses.
Addressing demographic disparities, Gandhi highlighted the lack of representation for backward, Dalit, and Adivasi communities in various sectors, including private companies, educational institutions, and media houses. He criticized the unequal distribution of resources and opportunities, citing imbalances in budget allocations and bureaucratic appointments.
Gandhi also took aim at the Agniveer scheme, alleging discrimination within the armed forces and calling for equitable training opportunities for all personnel. He urged people not to be intimidated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), expressing confidence in the I.N.D.I.A. bloc’s ability to form government and address the needs of the marginalized.
The rally featured speeches from other prominent leaders, including RJD leaders Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, who highlighted past achievements and made promises for future development. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav predicted electoral success for the I.N.D.I.A. bloc in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The event also saw participation from leaders of various communist parties, underscoring the broad-based opposition to the current government’s policies and agenda.
