J&K Police Reshuffles Inspector Cadre, Sends 7 Officers to ACB

Nine Inspectors shifted back to different police zones while eight officers assigned fresh duties in Anti-Corruption Bureau

JAMMU, May 13: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday ordered a major reshuffle at the Inspector level, repatriating several officers from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and assigning others to the agency with immediate effect.
According to an official order issued by the Police Headquarters, the transfers and postings were approved by Director General of Police (DGP) in the interest of administrative efficiency and departmental functioning.
As part of the exercise, nine Inspectors presently serving in the ACB have been sent back to their respective units across Kashmir Zone, Jammu Zone and Armed Zone. The officers repatriated include Showkat Ahmad Khan, Manzoor Ahmad Beigh, Mohammad Saleem, Imtiyaz Ahmad, Muhammad Tufail, Manjeet Singh, Rajpal, Tanveer Hussain and Mohd Hafiz.
Simultaneously, seven Inspectors from various police wings have been transferred and posted to the Anti-Corruption Bureau for further assignments. The officers shifted to ACB are Tariq Hassan, Jaspal Singh, Nisar Hussain, Sohail Ahmad, Abid Ashraf Bhat, Mukhtar Ali and Mohammad Iqbal.
Officials said the transferred officers were drawn from different formations including Police Headquarters (PHQ), Kashmir Zone, Jammu Zone, Armed Police and Government Railway Police (GRP).
In another related order, Inspector Vimal Kumar Koul has also been detached from the Armed Zone and posted to the ACB with immediate effect.
The directive further stated that all officers concerned shall stand relieved forthwith to enable immediate implementation of the transfer orders.
The latest reshuffle is being seen as part of routine administrative restructuring aimed at strengthening operational efficiency and streamlining deployments within the Jammu and Kashmir Police setup.
