Kolkata, May 17 : Kolkata Knight Riders secured a vital win against Gujarat Titans in IPL 2026, keeping their playoff hopes alive in a tightly contested season.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s unbeaten 82 and Cameron Green’s aggressive half-century powered KKR to a competitive total before disciplined bowling restricted Gujarat’s chase.
Although Shubman Gill scored 85 and Sai Sudharsan briefly looked dangerous, Gujarat failed to maintain the required run rate. The result denied GT the opportunity to become the first team to officially qualify for the playoffs.
The victory also intensified the Orange Cap and Purple Cap races as the tournament entered its final phase.
