SRINAGAR, MAY 04: The Enforcement Wing of Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) today carried out a demolition drive in the area of Nowpora, Saderbal, Baghwanpora Lal Bazar, Shalimar, and Teilbal.
During the drive, one ground level raft, one-second storey, one single storey (green Belt), one tin shed, and three shops were demolished. The violators had resorted to illegal constructions taking the advantage of current lockdown (Covid-19).
Meanwhile, the Lakes & Waterways Development authorities have warned people residing within LAWDA jurisdiction to desist from undertaking illegal constructions or encroachments.
All the public residing within the LDA jurisdiction & intake are hereby once again directed not to go for any sort of illegal constructions/encroachments, as the Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal constructions/ removal of encroachments.
