Jammu ,12 July 2022 : Addressing the media for the first time after the scrapping of JK Police Sub Inspector Recruitment, Mission Shakti led by Preeti Choudhary thanked the hon’ble LG Manoj Sinha for ordering a CBI Probe in to the alleged JKPSI Scam by bringing out the discrepancies in the exam. They praised the committee constituted by LG for its efforts to ensure no unfair recruitment took place but were surprised why committee members hesitated to make public the names of the culprits involved and ensure legal remission for their misdeeds. Alongside they also put forward the concerns and demands of the aspirants who have been at the receiving end of this decision.
Praising the decision to nullify the exam on accounts of corruption, the aspirants welcomed the decision of reconducting the exam. However, they expressed their concerns about the timeline of the re-exam. The canceled exam has already consumed the precious time of the aspirants, a lot of whom had resigned from their jobs to prepare for the exam. They requested a fast-track recruitment for the re-exam. Aspirants also put forth the points of age dispute and woman reservation both of which drew controversy in the currently canceled recruitment Team Mission Shakti requested the authorities to release an advertisement at the earliest putting out clear information regarding both.
Mission Shakti also brought up another important concern of fee payment and has requested the authorities to look into the matter and waive off the examination fee for the candidates who appeared in the current recruitment As there was no fault of aspirants Calling out the corrupt practices of JKSSB, aspirants expressed their concerns about the exam being conducted by JKSSB or any other state body. To rule out any chances of corruption in the rol exam it is suggested that the exam should be conducted by a Central Body in CBT Mode.
Preeti Choudhary, Convener of Mission Shakti, also appreciate the cooperation extended by the district administration and SSP Jammu and civil society in the recent past Mission Shakti aims an aspirational programme to physically and mentally empower women, said that they would resume coaching once the official advertisement is out.
