JAMMU,09-01-2023 : Bharatiya Janata Party has empowered the women of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir by introducing various enormous schemes for their welfare. It was really an irony of the erstwhile State of Jammu and Kashmir that the women remained deprived of significant rights for decades.
This was stated by Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister while interacting with the new team of State Mahila Morcha at Party Headquarters in Jammu. On the occasion, Munish Sharma Incharge All Morchas, Sanjita Dogra President J&K Mahila Morcha, Radha Sharma Vice President, Neha Mahajan and Reema Padha General Secretaries, Anita Gandotra Vice President, Neeru Anand and Prerna Nanda Secretaries, Suman Raina Treasurer, Poonam Gupta Social Media Incharge, Rashida Mir Spokesperson, Raj Handa and office Incharge Arti Koul were present.
The former Deputy Chief Minister said the Modi Government has done a lot for the women of Jammu and Kashmir by initiating several schemes like Ujjawala Yojana, Sukanya scheme, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Scheme, One Stop Centre Scheme, Women Helpline Scheme, UJJAWALA, Nari Shakti Puraskar, Tripple Talaq, 33 per cent reservation in politics for women, Mahila Shakti Kendras (MSK), Nirbhaya and a lot more since 2014. He asserted that the Modi Government stands fully committed to empowerment of women across the nation.
The senior BJP leader said that after removing all the bottlenecks in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led BJP Government’s key priority now is to focus on development. The development which took place in J&K under BJP Government led by PM Narendra Modi is matchless and speaks itself about the remarkable progress which this region has made after BJP took over the reins.
Kavinder Gupta maintained that keeping in line with PM Modi’s mission of ‘Sab Ka Saath SabKa Vikas’ that stands now transformed into ‘Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas Sab Ka Vishwas’, the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir has been witnessing unprecedented development in every sector since Narendra Modi took over the reins of this nation.
Kavinder also discussed the role of Mahila Morcha in the upcoming programmes of the Party and exhorted upon them to have direct contact with the women beneficiaries of central sponsored schemes and make aware them about the policies and programmes of the Party.
