Neha Jalali to Hold Dual Charge After CBC Jammu Chief’s Superannuation

Ayushi Puri, Vivek Pathak Shifted in I&B Ministry Transfer Orders

Jammu, January 29: The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, has ordered a significant reshuffle of Indian Information Service (IIS) Group ‘A’ officers, issuing transfer and posting orders for 27 officers across the country, including key changes affecting the media units in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to an order issued on January 27, Neha Jalali, who is presently serving as Director (Media and Communication), Press Information Bureau (PIB) Jammu, has been entrusted with the additional charge of the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Regional Office Jammu. The additional responsibility has been assigned following the superannuation of the incumbent head of CBC Jammu, Ghulam Abbas, who is set to retire on January 31, 2026.

The move is aimed at ensuring continuity in the functioning of the CBC Regional Office and smooth implementation of government communication and outreach programmes in the region.

In another posting order, Ayushi Puri, who was serving as Deputy Director, CBC Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Director (News) at the Regional News Unit of Doordarshan Kendra Jammu. The shift is expected to strengthen the news operations and editorial management at the public broadcaster’s regional unit.

Meanwhile, Vivek Pathak, Assistant Director (News), Doordarshan Kendra Jammu, has been transferred and directed to report to the Prime Minister’s Office. He will serve as Reference Officer on the strength of Assistant Director (Media and Communication), PIB New Delhi.
