NEW DELHI, Sept 1: Oil marketing companies have announced an increase in the price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinders by ₹39, effective from September 1st. This hike brings the retail sales price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi to ₹1,691.50. This adjustment follows a previous reduction on July 1st, when prices were cut by ₹30 to provide some relief to businesses and commercial enterprises, bringing the price down to ₹1,646.
Before that, on June 1st, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder was reduced by ₹69.50, setting the retail sales price at ₹1,676 in Delhi. Additionally, on May 1, 2024, the price was further lowered by ₹19 per cylinder.
These frequent price adjustments, typically occurring at the start of each month, reflect the volatile nature of the market. Several factors contribute to these changes, including fluctuations in international oil prices, taxation policies, and the dynamics of supply and demand.
While the specific reasons for the recent price increase have not been disclosed, it is clear that oil marketing companies are actively responding to the evolving economic conditions and market trends. These adjustments aim to balance the needs of consumers with the realities of the global energy market.
