India, Nov 10 : Students across India are set to make history as Patanjali Gurukulam and Acharyakulam schools launch the country’s first ever National Sports Competition for students. The initiative, backed by the Indian Education Board, aims to foster fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among young learners.
The grand opening took place on November 9-10 in Haridwar, with Patanjali Gurukulam School hosting wrestling, judo, and mallakhamb matches, while nearby Patanjali Acharyakulam School saw thrilling basketball, handball, and kabaddi competitions.
The competition will next move to Agra, where GSS Inter College will host volleyball matches on November 13-14, featuring spirited contests among boys and girls. Organizers praised Agra for its unique blend of history and youthful energy as the perfect backdrop for the event.
Lucknow’s Isabella Thoburn School will host athletics and badminton events on November 17-18, with students competing in sprinting, jumping, throwing, and high speed badminton rallies.
The final leg of the championship will unfold in Jaipur at the American International School on November 21-22, concluding a nationwide celebration of sports and talent.
Parents, teachers, and organizers are enthusiastic about this landmark event, highlighting its role in promoting holistic development and nurturing India’s future sports stars.
