PM Modi Extends Greetings to Citizens on Navratri and Other Festivals

Prime Minister extends warm wishes to citizens on Navratri, regional New Year celebrations, and other festivals across India

New Delhi, Mar 19: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday extended greetings to people across India on the occasion of Navratri and various traditional New Year festivals celebrated nationwide.

Wishing citizens on Nav Samvatsar, Navratri, Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, Cheti Chand, Navreh, and Sajibu Cheiraoba, the prime minister emphasized that these festivals bring renewal, hope, and fresh opportunities.

“Greetings to everyone on the special occasion of Nav Samvatsar. May this year bring happiness, success, and good health to all,” Modi said, highlighting the importance of courage, self-confidence, and collective efforts toward nation-building.

On Navratri, celebrated in honor of Goddess Durga, Modi prayed for the welfare of all and the progress of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). “Heartfelt best wishes for Navratri. May Maa Durga bless everyone with happiness, prosperity, and good health. Jai Ambe Jagdambe Maa!” he added.

The prime minister also greeted people observing Gudi Padwa, marking the Marathi New Year, and Ugadi, celebrated in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, expressing hopes that the year ahead would inspire individuals to pursue their aspirations with sincerity and positivity.

Extending wishes for Cheti Chand, the Sindhi New Year, Modi prayed for joy, fulfilled hopes, and societal harmony under the blessings of Lord Jhulelal. He also sent greetings to Kashmiri Pandits on Navreh and to the Meitei community on Sajibu Cheiraoba, wishing abundant success, prosperity, and renewed energy for all.

Modi concluded by urging citizens to embrace the new year with confidence, optimism, and a commitment to building a brighter and more fulfilling future.
