PM Modi Highlights Youth Empowerment at Rozgar Mela

Over 51,000 appointment letters handed out as Modi highlights government initiatives, foreign investments, and GST reforms to boost employment opportunities

New Delhi, Oct 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday emphasized that empowering India’s youth remains a top priority for the BJP led NDA government. Addressing the 17th Rozgar Mela through a recorded message, he highlighted that even the country’s foreign policy is being shaped with the interests of young Indians in mind.

“India is the youngest nation in the world, and the strength of our youth is one of our greatest assets. With this belief, we are moving forward in every field. Our diplomatic engagements and global agreements increasingly focus on youth training and employment generation,” Modi said.

During the Rozgar Mela, more than 51,000 appointment letters for government jobs were distributed. So far, over 11 lakh recruitment letters have been issued through Rozgar Melas across the country.

The Prime Minister also spoke about India’s growing international collaborations. “We have signed investment agreements with several European countries, as well as Brazil, Singapore, South Korea, and Canada, to support startups, MSMEs, and exports. These partnerships will create thousands of new job opportunities and strengthen avenues of growth for our youth,” he said.

Modi further highlighted the recent GST rate reductions as a key reform that not only boosts savings but also opens up new avenues for employment and business growth. “The next-generation GST reforms are expanding opportunities for employment and economic development across the country,” he added.

The Rozgar Mela continues to serve as a key platform for linking young Indians with employment opportunities, underlining the government’s focus on skill development and economic empowerment.
