Gothenburg, May 18: Narendra Modi called for deeper economic cooperation between India and Europe while addressing industry leaders during his visit to Sweden. The Prime Minister emphasised India’s rapid reforms, democratic values and expanding industrial capabilities.
During interactions with European business representatives, Modi highlighted opportunities in technology, clean energy, manufacturing and digital innovation. Industry leaders discussed strengthening bilateral trade and encouraging investment collaborations between Indian and Nordic companies.
Officials said the discussions focused on enhancing long-term partnerships in emerging sectors including green technology, startups and advanced manufacturing. Business groups described India as one of the fastest-growing investment destinations globally.
The visit is expected to strengthen India-Europe commercial relations and create new opportunities for innovation-driven businesses and investors.
