New Delhi, Feb 16 : Sources reported on Thursday that Rahul Gandhi, a Congress leader, has responded to the breach of privilege notice against him by the Lok Sabha secretariat over his remarks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 7. The notice was brought by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, and Gandhi replied to the notice on Wednesday. He defended his speech about the Hindenburg research report on the Adani group, citing various laws to support his comments.
The contents of the reply are confidential, but some Congress leaders have confirmed that Gandhi responded to the allegations with facts and precedents. Joshi had previously accused Gandhi of misleading the House by making baseless allegations.
