J&K’s Industry Leader Rahul Sahai Promotes Technology Partnerships in Czech Republic

JAMMU, October 18: Rahul Sahai, Chairman of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) Jammu Chapter, represented Jammu & Kashmir at the prominent International Engineering Trade Fair held in Brno, Czech Republic. This event, renowned for fostering global business and technological collaborations, saw Sahai actively promoting Jammu & Kashmir’s industrial potential on the international stage.

During his visit, Sahai had the distinct honor of meeting with Petr Fiala, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic. Their discussions centered on exploring avenues for cooperation between Jammu & Kashmir and the Czech Republic, focusing particularly on the engineering and technology sectors. Sahai highlighted the region’s strengths and the promising opportunities available for international collaboration.

In addition to his meeting with the Czech Prime Minister, Sahai engaged with a host of high-ranking officials and business leaders, including Ing. Lukas Vicek, the Minister of Industry and Trade; Jan Michal, CEO of Czech Invest; Michalis Busios, Project Director of BVV Trade Fairs Brno; David Muller, Director General of the European Union and Foreign Trade Section at the Ministry of Industry and Trade; Peter Jaros from the Department of Africa, Asia, and Australia; and Pavel Cap, Project Director at the Association of Engineering Technology. These discussions were aimed at building partnerships and facilitating technology transfers that could benefit the industrial landscape of Jammu & Kashmir.

Sahai extended a formal invitation to these dignitaries to visit Jammu & Kashmir to witness firsthand the region’s potential for industrial growth. He emphasized opportunities in manufacturing, automotive parts, packaging materials, and other key sectors. Sahai also highlighted the region’s investor-friendly policies under its robust Industrial Policy, which offers significant incentives for foreign investors.

During his meetings, Sahai cited the proactive efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, in promoting industrial investments in the region, particularly in the manufacturing sector in Jammu. He urged the Czech delegation to send representatives from their Industry Department to explore potential collaborations and investments, positioning Jammu & Kashmir as an emerging hub for industrial and technological development.
