Red Ribbon Club GDC Dudu Basantgarh lead a campaign on women’s health under Clean India Programme

18-12-2021: Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of Govt. Degree College Dudu Basantgarh leads a campaign on women’s health under Clean India Programme under the aegis of Azadi ka amrut Mahatsov. The target area for today’s campaign was Blotha Upperla village.

The programme was organized for developing awareness among people regarding women’s health. Women were given basic knowledge regarding proper health and hygiene, use of sanitary pads during periods, control of family size by using safe measures for population control, etc. Importantly, parents were motivated to marry their daughter only after they are physically and mentally mature eg. after completing 21 years of age. Moreover, people were also motivated to keep their surroundings neat and clean.

Students of the college under the supervision and support of faculty members of the college enthusiastically participated in the program.

The programme was kicked to start by Principal Dr. Bhavnish Chand who put a little glimpse on the importance of organizing such like awareness campaigns and events. He said, “the prime responsibility of every educational institution is to develop awareness regarding positive, useful and desired changes amongst its people”. The  Programme was concluded by Prof. Pradeep Kumar (Nodal Officer of Red Ribbon Club) by praising the students. It was a fruitful programme in which people showed a positive attitude.

Other faculty members who lead the campaign along with students were Prof. Rahul Sharma, Dr. Ravi Kumar, Ms. Aastha Gupta, Dr. Mudasir, Mr. Nazeer Ahmad, and Mr. Rashpaul.
