RSS Launches Pan-India ‘Dhwaj Yatra’ from Kashmir to Kanyakumari

The nationwide rally begins from Lal Chowk, aims to showcase RSS’s legacy and clarify public perceptions

Srinagar, Feb 6: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) launched its much-anticipated ‘Dhwaj Yatra’ on Friday, beginning from Kashmir and heading to Kanyakumari, in an effort to address misconceptions about the organisation.

The symbolic march started at historic Lal Chowk and concluded at the Tourist Reception Centre, from where participants continued their journey across the country by road.

Veer Kapoor, a participant, said the initiative seeks to counter narratives that paint the RSS as being against certain communities. “The aim of this yatra is to clear the misgivings that the RSS is against some people. We also want to convey the real history to people, who have been fed the distorted version so far,” he explained.

Kapoor also highlighted a commemorative movie titled Shatak, made to mark 100 years of RSS and showcase the organisation’s contributions. The film is slated for release on February 19.

The Dhwaj Yatra is being closely watched as it travels through multiple states, aiming to strengthen public understanding of the RSS’s history and social initiatives.
