US, June 04 : The United States has indicated that preparations are underway for a high-level meeting of the Quad leadership later this year, underscoring the growing importance of the four nation partnership in shaping the strategic landscape of the Indo-Pacific.
Speaking before the US House Foreign Affairs Committee, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said officials are working to arrange a gathering of the leaders from India, Japan, Australia and the United States on the sidelines of a major international event in the region. While the meeting is not expected to be a standalone summit, Rubio noted that efforts are being made to bring the leaders together when their schedules align during an upcoming global forum.
