SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 18:- The selection process for the establishment of various Sheep Units among the selected beneficiaries of Shopian district under various Centrally-Sponsored Schemes was held today.
The selection was carried out by the designated committee of officers headed by District Sheep Husbandry Officer Shopian, Rafiq Ahmed Shah in presence of District Development Council (DDC) Vice-Chairperson, Irfan Manhas, Chief Planning Officer, Shopian, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, Wool Development Officer, and other concerned officers was carried out at Sheep Husbandry Complex Shirmaal, Shopian.
The selection process of the beneficiaries was held openly through a draw of lots in which nine (09) beneficiaries were selected for establishing different Units of Sheep of 25 Ewes,125 Ewes,175 Ewes, and 200 Ewes with a subsidy of 50 percent ((Rs 1 lac per 25 Ewes units totaling to Rs 29 Lac subsidy).
Besides, nine (09) persons were selected for the benefit of shearing machines with Gen Set with a subsidy component of Rs 4.5 lacs.
